Ok SO. In case you didn’t know, I managed to get a table this weekend at Fanime, at table 181. I’m doing IN PERSON sketch commissions and selling my chokers! Finished, customized, and commission orders to be shipped out after con. The choker commission money is going toward my sister in law’s and baby nephew’s plane tickets to the US to join our family finally—I’m keeping sketch money for myself by-god!

I went to the Gamzee’s Dark Carnival panel tonight and won some stickers, too! They’re really super awesome and I MIGHT be convinced to part with them if you’re a follower of mine that I recognise.

Stop by and say hi if you’re doing the last day here in San Jose, and come say hi to my table gremlins, my darling fiancee Lizzorasuarus, and my super awesome lower leaf Holyneutrality.

I used to be “apertureDragonfly” here on tumblr, so that could be why. My girlfriend-fiancee person and I associate each other with dragonflies and ladybugs, so this could also be part of it.

YO. Listen up this is not a drill. You see this lady? You see that baby? That’s my sister in law and new baby nephew. My brother has been discharged from the military, and they’re shipping him away from them, sending him here in the morning.

This lovely lady, my very sweet sister in law, still can’t work. With her husband going back overseas from her and being estranged from her family, she will not have any support while she waits to get the visa that will allow her to join her husband.

That baby in her arms? He’s an American Citizen. He’s going to be stuck in Japan away from a family that is waiting to meet him. Away from his father who loves him.

Do you want to know what happens when the government cuts funding to the military? They look for people who are seconds LITERAL SECONDS off on their miles, who miss PT tests by a single digit. People with IQ’s in the genius range who tested so high on the ASVAB that they could literally do ANYTHING they’re asked.

Oh this might have something to do with some bullshit my father did when he was at that base, but I honestly doubt it.

No right now they’re looking for excuses.

They’ve taken my brother’s earnings because supposedly he owed the military something for his time with them. They’ve drained his account to the negatives and this baby pictured here? He’s not even a week old and he’s about to be homeless, and fatherless.

Right now here’s the deal: My sister in law once again needs help paying the rent. We’re going to figure that out before we do ANYTHING else. 

Then she needs her visa and a flight over here.

But tumblr I ask you, what can I do for you to get her rent paid TONIGHT?

A handy guide for finding the source when you’re googling images. Art used belongs to vouloir-chan on DA and I did not ask permission to use it, however as soon as I posted this I messaged them to tell them I had(and faved the work because wow.)

SO.

This is one of those posts everyone hates to get from me. They get irritated when they see them, i think, but hold on.

Remember that brother who had to get a divorce lawyer? He got his divorce, then he got remarried, and his new wife?

Pregnant.

Now, he’d been receiving an extra stipend(from the military—he’s airforce) for housing while he was married to his ex, and used that to pay his child support all the way up to now, but once you turn in your paper work, they stop that payment—well, they’re supposed to.

They didn’t until THIS month, and they’re demanding the money back. They want it so bad they’re taking it out of his paycheck. 

Over there they make you stop working about three months before you have your kid. I don’t know what it is over here, but that’s the rule over there.

That means that the funds that would have come from her job to pay their rent are no longer coming in. It also means they’re five hundred short on said rent.

OH. And the radiator on my brother’s car blew.

we’re not so worried about that as we are the rent.

I need to raise $500 by thursday or friday so I can send it to my brother to have it picked up in time to pay their bills.
